India’s Second Coronavirus Vaccine, ZyCoV-D Set to Go into Human Trial on 1,000 People

India’s second possible vaccine against COVID-19, ZyCoV-D, is all set to begin its human trial this month, the company said. It plans to conduct the trials on 1,000 volunteers across multiple sites in the country. In last week of June 2020, Zydus Cadila group received approval from Drug Controller General of India (DGCI) to initiate phase 1 and phase 2 human clinical trials of possible COVID-19 vaccine in India.

The Indian Army has deployed infantry combat vehicles in the Galvan Valley as Chinese troops had deployed their armored vehicles to strengthen their position amid border dispute with India along the Line Of Actual Control (LAC). The deployment of armored vehicles or BMP 2 is to counter threat to the Darbuk–Shyok-Daulat Beg Oldi (DSDBO) road, which is very important for the Indian Army.
