Bengaluru Scientists Fabricate Invisible Shield for Electromagnetic Interference

H G Wells’ ‘Invisible Man’ tweaked optical properties of the body to become invisible. Scientists have now achieved a similar feat by designing a metal mesh structure instead of continuous film on desired transparent substrates to make it a transparent shield for electromagnetic interference (EMI). The invisible shield can be used in various military stealth applications and can cover electromagnetic wave emitter or absorber devices without compromising their aesthetics.

Under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, 1858 Roads of Length 11,517 Km and 84 Bridges in J&K

Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), is a flagship program of Govt. of India for providing connectivity to unconnected habitations, based on census 2001. In the UTs of J&K and Ladakh, all unconnected habitations of population above 250, are eligible under the program. In the UT of Jammu & Kashmir, 3,261 roads of length of 19,277 km and 243 bridges have been sanctioned, out of which 1858 roads of length 11,517 km and 84 bridges have been completed.

IAF Test Fires Air-to-Air Missiles Ahead of Rafale Integration

The fighter aircraft took off from Kalaikunda airbase in West Bengal and fired the missile, successfully neutralising the aerial target drone mimicking enemy aircraft at low altitude. “All mission parameters have been met as the target was destroyed validating the missile’s launch envelope. The missile will equip both Sukhoi and Rafale fighter jets,” a defence official told ‘The Express’.

Indian Embassy in the Netherlands to Start Printing Passports

Ambassador Venu said Indian nationals will soon be able to submit various documents to the embassy via post and will also be able to receive various documents from the embassy by post. It will ease the current process as visits to the Visa Facilitation Service centres in the Netherlands could be avoided henceforth, the statement said.
