Pralay Missile System: India’s Home-Grown Quasi-Ballistic Weapon

Its quasi-ballistic profile makes it more dangerous than a simple ballistic projectile. A conventional ballistic missile follows a relatively predictable path, but a quasi-ballistic missile can fly on a depressed or manoeuvrable trajectory, making interception more difficult. This is especially relevant in modern battlefields where air defence systems, missile shields and radar networks are becoming more advanced. Pralay is designed not only to reach the target, but to complicate the enemy’s ability to detect, track and intercept it.

Cheran Senguttuvan: The Chera King Who Turned Kannagi into a Goddess of Justice

As a ruler, Senguttuvan is said to have reigned for 55 years, a remarkably long reign in early South Indian political memory. A scholarly account in Chera Kings of the Sangam Period notes this 55-year reign and describes his consecration of a Pattini temple as an event of “international significance,” especially because the Sri Lankan king Gajabahu is traditionally said to have attended the ceremony.

India Plans ‘Made in India’ Brand Scheme to Strengthen Domestic Manufacturing and Cut Import Dependence

The government is working with industry to identify around 100 products that are either not manufactured in India or are produced in inadequate quantities. The focus is not merely on replacing imports, but on building production capacity in areas where India already has industrial capability but faces technology, scale or supply-chain gaps. According to Bhatia, several “unique and interesting” products have already been identified, including auto-sector items such as axles and motorcycle components.
