Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has achieved an important milestone in the development of Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) System by proving the land-based prototype on 8 March 2021. The plant was operated in endurance mode and max power mode as per the user requirements. The system is being developed by Naval Materials Research Laboratory (NMRL) of DRDO.
The second edition of India-Uzbekistan joint military exercise “Dustlik-2” started on Monday at Chaubatia in Uttarakhand, the Defence Ministry said. The first edition of the joint military exercise had taken place in Tashkent in November 2019.

India’s vehicle scrappage policy will allow owners to scrap their 20-year old vehicles and avail incentives on the purchase of new personal vehicles. In case of commercial vehicles, the scrappage policy will be applicable for 15-year old vehicles without a fitness certificate.
The Indian Army has leased four Heron unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) made by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for possible deployment along the 3,488 kilometer India-China border.
The four medium-altitude long endurance UAVs are expected to be delivered to the Indian Army between August and December, a person familiar with the matter said Monday.
