Government of India has released Rs. 5,968 Crore (US$ 814.41 million) to 15 States for the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the financial year 2021-22. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) on Monday said a study has identified a set of molecular biomarkers that can be used in the differential diagnosis of acute bacterial and viral infections, including Covid-19.
These biomarkers are different messenger RNA (mRNA) molecules found in the blood; differences in their levels can detect and predict with high probability if an infection is viral or bacterial.
