The National Bamboo Mission and the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) have been working together for having a dedicated window on the GeM portal for marketing of the Bamboo Goods (Bamboo based products & Quality Planting Materials). Resultant to the collaboration, a dedicated window “The Green Gold Collection” for bamboo products was launched by the Union Minister of State for Agriculture Shri Parshottam Rupala

India to Have 900 Million Internet Users by 2025: Report

According to the report, the number of internet users in urban areas stood at 323 million, accounting for 67% of the India’s urban population and registered a 2x growth as compared to rural areas. Digital adoption in rural areas of the country registered an increase of 13%, recording 299 million internet users in 2020, accounting for 31% of the country’s rural population.

Number of Startups Recognized by DPIIT Goes Up to Fifty Thousand

Startup India is a flagship initiative of the Government of India launched by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 16 January, 2016. The initiative is intended to catalyse startup culture and build a strong and inclusive ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in India. Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) acts as the nodal Department for the Startup initiative. As on June 3, 2021, 50,000 startups across have been recognized as startups by DPIIT, of which 19,896 have been recognized since April 1, 2020.

Researchers Track Reason Behind Decline in Star Formation Activity 8 Billion Years Ago

Astronomers tracking star formation activity of the young Universe billions of years ago have long been intrigued by the fact that star formation in galaxies which was at its highest about 8-10 billion years ago, had declined steadily thereafter. Searching for the reason behind this, they have found that the likely cause for the decline is that galaxies were running out of fuel.
