ISRO Offers Two New Free Online Courses for Students and Professionals, Participants to Get Certificates

ISRO is now accepting applications for two new online courses on GIS Technology and Earth Observation for which interested professionals and students can register on the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) website. Recently, the institute also offered a free online course on machine learning to deep learning for students. While the ISRO free online course on GIS Technology will be conducted from 21 June to 2 July 2021, the course on Earth Observation for Carbon Cycle Studies will be conducted from 21 June to 25 June 2021.

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh Approves INR 498.8 Crore Budgetary Support for Defence Innovation Through iDEX – DIO

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has approved the budgetary support of Rs 498.8 crore to Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) – Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO) for the next five years. The budgetary support will provide a big boost to the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as iDEX–DIO has the primary objective of self-reliance and indigenisation in defence & aerospace sector of the country.

NSG Signs MoU Aimed to Enhance Proficiency As Zero Error Force

With focus on a dual mission, the National Security Guard (NSG) and the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation and collaboration aimed at strengthening the core competencies of the NSG, which are counter-terrorism, counter-IEDs, and anti-hijacking. BRO Links Two More Sensitive Areas with Roads, Bridges on China Border

Sources confirmed an important bridge towards Doka La in Sikkim has been launched by the Border Roads Organisation, and Yangtse in Arunachal Pradesh has been linked with roads. “Launch of Indigenously-developed (by GRSE) 140’ double lane Class-70 modular bridge in Sikkim (to Dokala) is complete, and forward location of Yangtse in Arunachal Pradesh is now connected with road.” said the source.
