India is learnt to have aligned with China, Russia and Japan to oppose use of 26 Ghz spectrum band for 5G operations, but industry bodies have expressed their reservations about the decision. China and Russia have opposed 5G operation in 26 Ghz band to defend their military operations, while India has aligned with them as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) wants this spectrum band for satellite services.
Huge Amount of Potash Deposits Found in Rajasthan
“Geological studies have confirmed that there are reserves of around 2,400 million tonnes of potash deposits in Nagore-Ganganagar basin of Rajasthan covering parts of Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Bikaner districts, which is estimated to be around 5 times of the declared world reserves of potash,” said Rajasthan Chief Secretary D.B. 8 Soldiers Trapped as Avalanche Hits Siachen
An avalanche hit the Siachen Glacier in Ladakh on Monday, trapping eight soldiers of the Indian Army under the snow. The incident took place at 3 pm. The Indian Army is conducting a massive search and rescue operation since then to locate and rescue the trapped soldiers. The Army personnel hit by the avalanche were part of a patrolling party consisting of eight persons and were in the northern glacier when the incident happened. The soldiers continue to be trapped at Northern Siachen Glacier.
