Phase-2 of Bengaluru Metro Inaugurated

The Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase-2 covers a route length of 74 km with 62 stations and consists of extensions to both Purple and Green lines of Phase-1 in all the four directions totaling 34 km and two new lines viz. Gotigere-Nagawara for a route length of 21 km & R V Road- Bommasandra for a route length of 19 km.

NTPC’s Oldest Unit at Singrauli Records Highest PLF So Far in Current Fiscal

NTPC Ltd.’s very first unit, which was commissioned 38 years ago at Singrauli in Uttar Pradesh, has achieved the highest Plant Load Factor (PLF) of 100.24% among all thermal units in the country between April 2020 to December 2020, data published by Central Electricity Authority (CEA) showed. The 200 MW unit was commissioned in 1982 and the robust PLF signifies the exceptional operational and maintenance efficiency at India’s largest power generation company.

Indian Railway Enhances Speed to 130 Kmph Along the Golden Quadrilateral & Golden Diagonal Sections

Indian Railway has started the New Year by achieving a landmark achievement by drastically enhancing the maximum speed to 130 kmph for 1,280 km length out of 1,612 Km in Golden Quadrilateral – Golden Diagonal (GQ-GD) route.This covers the entire GQ-GD route over South Central Railway, except Vijayawada – Duvvada section, where signaling up-gradation work is in progress.

PM Dedicates Kochi – Mangaluru Natural Gas Pipeline to the Nation

Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi dedicated Kochi – Mangaluru Natural Gas Pipeline to the Nation through a video conference today. The event marks an important milestone towards the creation of ‘One Nation One Gas Grid’. Governors and Chief Ministers of Karnataka and Kerala, along with Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas were also present on the occasion.

Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is Kicking off Ambitious Project of Sagarmala Seaplane Services

Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is initiating the process of commencing operations of the Seaplane services, on the select routes, under a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) framework through prospective airline operators. The project execution and implementation would be through Sagarmala Development Company Ltd (SDCL), which is under the administrative control of the Ministry.
