It is seen that the import clearance time for edible oil has come down significantly to approx. 3-4 days at present which is the usual time taken for sampling, duty payment and logistics. It is being ensured that there is no clogging at the ports.
In order to bring relief to the most vulnerable, a record allocation 109.33 LMT food grains for free of cost distribution for Uttar Pradesh has been made under PMGKAY. Over 14.71 Crore persons of Uttar Pradesh are being benefited through the said scheme. The cost of these food grains amounts to Rs 40093 crores.

The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, has released the 4th monthly installment of Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant of Rs. 9,871.00 crore to the States yesterday. With the release of this installment, a total amount of Rs. 39,484.00 crore has been released to eligible States as Post Devolution Revenue Deficit Grant in the current financial year.
