The Amit Shah-headed cooperation ministry created by the Narendra Modi government is likely to launch an open, digitised platform for cooperatives, the first of a series of tasks being taken up to overhaul the sector, said a person familiar with the matter.

The Minister informed that sea trials of 500 metre rated shallow water version of the manned submersible are expected to take place in the last quarter of 2022 and the MATSYA 6000, the deep water manned submersible will be ready for trials by the second quarter of 2024. He said, the advancing technologies in metallurgy, energy storage, underwater navigation and manufacturing facilities provides opportunity for developing more efficient, reliable and safe manned submersible.
The finance ministry has approved 8.5% rate of interest on provident fund deposit for 2020-21 paving way for the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation to credit the interest in accounts of >60 million beneficiaries.

Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has been undertaking responsible vulnerability disclosure and coordination for vulnerabilities reported to CERT-In in accordance to its vulnerability coordination role as a National CERT since its inception. To move a step further in the direction to strengthen trust in “Make in India” as well as to nurture responsible vulnerability research in the country, CERT-In has partnered with the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Program. In this regard, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has been authorized by the CVE Program, as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA) for vulnerabilities impacting all products designed, developed and manufactured in India.
India is likely to spend US$ 316 billion (~Rs. 23 lakh crore) in the decade to 2030 towards de-carbonisation, with a great amount of the financing to be earmarked to renewable sources of energy, according to a foreign brokerage. The financing will be on top of the estimated Rs. 6 lakh crore (US$ 84 billion) previously spent since the country joined the Paris climate accord in 2015, Bofa Securities stated.
