72 Paramilitary Companies to be Pulled Out of Jammu and Kashmir

Of the nearly 7,200 troops de-inducted from Jammu and Kashmir , 2,400 are from the CRPF and 1,200 each from BSF SSB, CISF and ITBP. They were all deployed in the state in view of the government’s decision to abrogate Article 370 in the erstwhile state on August 5 this year.
Earlier too, some troops were withdrawn from Jammu and Kashmir for the Jharkhand assembly polls.

India Develops Air Defence Gun for Army – Make in India

India’s state-funded Ordnance Board Factory (OFB) – which administers 42 armament and ammunition factories across the country – has developed a high rate of fire gun to defend strategic assets in the border region. CRPF Initiative to Save Natural Water Sources, Create Artificial Ponds in Chhattisgarh

A CRPF official said a recent survey found that these water bodies constitute around 95 per cent of the total water source for the villagers in the region following which the step has been taken to save water bodies which have dried up.
“At least a dozen of villages have been identified where either natural ponds will be rejuvenated or the force will create artificial ponds,” a CRPF official of 195 Battalion deployed in Abujmad told.
