Captain Appointed for the IAC-1, Efforts on to Put it in Water by 2021

A top Indian Navy officer speaking on condition of anonymity explained that “the IAC-1 which is under construction will enter the waters like a ship in 2021 before it gets inducted in the navy as an aircraft carrier. The efforts are going on in the right direction. The first batch of the crew is ready and the second and the third batch of the crew have been identified and awaiting final orders.”

Coast Guard Ships Reach Yangon,Myanmar

Indian Coast Guard ships Sujay and Sarojini Naidu on their last leg of two nations overseas deployment have entered Yangon, Myanmar, Monday. The visit is aimed at enhancing interactions and bilateral cooperation in the field of maritime search and rescue, pollution response and anti-piracy between the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and the maritime law agency in Myanmar.

OFB Plans to Make Guided Bombs – Make in India

The director general of ordnance factory board (OFB), Hari Mohan, said this will be for the first time that the factories will be attempting to make guided ammunition. The factories make ammunition of calibres like 81mm, 51mm, 120mm, 130mm and even more for which a guided version may be out.
