Enhanced Version of PINAKA Rocket System Successfully Flight Tested

Enhanced PINAKA rocket, developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has been successfully flight tested from Integrated Test Range, Chandipur off the coast of Odisha today, 04 November 2020. Development of Enhanced Pinaka system was taken up to achieve longer range performance compared to earlier design with reduced length.

Mission Sagar – II : Handing Over Food Aid to Sudan by INS Airavat

As part of ‘Mission Sagar-II’, Indian Naval Ship Airavat entered Port Sudan on 02 November 2020. The Government of India is providing assistance to Friendly Foreign Countries to overcome natural calamities and COVID-19 pandemic, and towards the same INS Airavat is carrying a consignment of 100 Tonnes of food aid for the people of Sudan.

CDF Kenya – Week Long Visit to India

General Robert Kibochi, Chief of Defence Forces of Kenya is visiting India from 02 – 06 Nov 2020 on the invitation by the Ministry of Defence. India is the first country that the CDF Kenya is visiting outside of Africa, after he assumed Command in May earlier this year.

Indo-Nepal Border to Have Laser Walls

As India is fast-tracking the construction of its border infrastructure in view of increasing threats from hostile neighbours, the 1,751 km long Indo-Nepal border will soon have ‘laser walls’ or infrared fencing to maintain effective vigil.

HMI’s International Bicycle Rally Kickstarts from Mangpoo

According to HMI Group Captain Jai Kishan, the cycle rally commenced at 8.30 am from Jan Maidan in Mangpoo and will conclude at Tiger Hill via Chatakpur and 3rd Mile. A total of 55 participants from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kurseong, Dooars, Siliguri and neighbouring country Nepal participated in the bicycle rally.

Hizb Terrorist Saifullah Killed Near Srinagar

In a “big success” for the security forces, Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) chief Dr Saifullah — one of the most wanted terrorists in the Kashmir valley — was gunned down during an encounter near Srinagar on Sunday.
After the death of Riyaz Naikoo in May this year, Hizbul Mujahideen was rendered leaderless until Saifullah took charge of the outfit and ran the terror machine of Pakistan in the Valley, said Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh.
