Bengaluru-based Valence Advanced Materials has opened its new headquarters inside the MSME Technology Centre at Aerospace Park, Devanahalli, placing the young composites company inside one of Karnataka’s most important aerospace manufacturing clusters.
The company formally opened the new facility on September 10, 2026, at the MSME Technology Centre in the KIADB Aerospace Park in Bengaluru North.
Valence said the move gives it an operating base within a Government of India facility created to support manufacturing companies, while also locating the company close to major aerospace manufacturers and suppliers operating in the Devanahalli aerospace ecosystem.
Building Around Advanced Composite Manufacturing
Valence specialises in materials and consumables used during the manufacture of advanced composite structures.
These are not necessarily the carbon-fibre laminates themselves. Instead, many of Valence’s products are the specialised process materials required to manufacture composite parts reliably.
Its portfolio includes vacuum-bagging films, release films, peel plies, breathers and bleeders, sealant tapes, vacuum valves and hoses, resin-flow meshes and infusion tooling accessories.
Such materials are used during processes including resin infusion, wet lay-up, oven curing and autoclave curing.
They play an important supporting role in producing lightweight composite structures used across industries such as aerospace, unmanned aircraft, wind energy and high-performance mobility.
Valence says its range includes more than 200 product variations, with process materials designed for applications extending from room-temperature manufacturing to temperatures as high as 260°C. Its products are intended for processes operating at pressures of up to 10 bar.
Why These Materials Matter in Aerospace
Modern aircraft increasingly use carbon-fibre reinforced composite structures because they can reduce weight while providing high strength and stiffness.
Manufacturing those structures, however, requires much more than carbon fibre and resin.
During autoclave or vacuum-assisted production, manufacturers need films, tapes, hoses, release layers and air-evacuation materials that can withstand heat, pressure and exposure to different resin systems without contaminating or damaging the finished component.
Valence’s VAL VAC XHT vacuum-bagging film, for example, is designed for advanced composite manufacturing at temperatures up to 232°C. The company also offers high-temperature release materials designed for processes reaching around 250°C.
These may appear to be relatively small parts of the aerospace supply chain, but reliable process consumables are essential for maintaining repeatability and surface quality when producing complex composite components.
That makes domestic availability of such materials increasingly relevant as India’s aerospace, drone and space manufacturing industries expand.
Inside a Government of India Technology Centre
The location chosen by Valence is particularly significant.
The MSME Technology Centre Bengaluru is a Government of India society operating under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Its main centre is located at Plot No. 6, Aerospace Park, KIADB Industrial Estate, Bengaluru North.
The centre provides technical and industrial support in areas including innovation, design, prototyping, manufacturing incubation, testing, calibration and skill development.
Its manufacturing-incubation infrastructure is specifically intended to give smaller companies access to facilities and technical resources that can otherwise require substantial upfront investment.
Valence says it is being incubated at the centre, giving the company direct access to an ecosystem designed to help MSMEs move from product development towards industrial scale.
At the Heart of Bengaluru’s Aerospace Cluster
Devanahalli has become one of the focal points of Karnataka’s aerospace expansion.
The wider Aerospace Park hosts established aerospace and engineering companies alongside a growing network of suppliers, startups and specialist manufacturers.
Valence specifically highlighted proximity to Boeing and other aerospace companies as one of the reasons the new address is important to its future growth.
For a company supplying composite-manufacturing materials, that location provides obvious advantages.
Aerospace manufacturing depends on closely controlled supply chains, qualification processes and sustained interaction between material suppliers, component manufacturers and aircraft integrators. Being located within the same industrial cluster can shorten development cycles and make it easier for a small supplier to work directly with potential customers.
From Startup to Aerospace Supply-Chain Participant
Valence Advanced Materials remains a relatively small Indian company, and the Devanahalli opening should not be confused with the commissioning of a large composite-production factory.
Its importance lies instead in the company’s positioning within India’s developing advanced-materials supply chain.
Valence describes its focus as enabling the production of robust carbon-fibre structures through specialised process consumables and customised tooling solutions. Earlier in 2026, the company participated in JEC World, the international composites exhibition, as it sought wider exposure for its materials and technologies.
The new Devanahalli headquarters gives that effort a stronger physical base within India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem.
As Indian companies take on increasingly complex work in aircraft structures, UAVs, satellites, launch vehicles and other lightweight engineering applications, domestic suppliers of specialist composite-processing materials can become an important part of the broader localisation effort.
Valence’s move into Aerospace Park is still an early step, but it places an Indian advanced-materials startup much closer to the manufacturers that could ultimately use its products.
