Aiming to further foster deeper collaboration among both the foot soldiers, a 20-member Bangladeshi army delegation on Wednesday arrived at Siliguri-headquartered Trishakti Corps of Indian Army.
The delegation will stay here for 5-day, ending November 18 wherein they will get to know about the terrain warfare tactics and also be briefed about several initiatives that the Indian Army is carrying out, an Indian Army source said.
The delegation led by Maj Gen AHS Hasan was welcomed at Phulbari in Assam.
During their stay, the delegation will visit the Indian Army formations and units. They will also be shown various training institutions including HMI Darjeeling. Besides activities of professional nature, sports and cultural events are also being organised for the visiting team.
The bonhomie and cooperation developed through such visits would go a long way towards enhancing the spirit of mutual understanding and friendship in the years to come.
