India Quarantines Itself, All Visas Suspended till April 15 Due to COVID-19

After detailed deliberations on preventive measures, actions taken and preparedness for Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), the Group of Ministers decided that all existing visas, except diplomatic, official, UN/International Organizations, employment, project visas, stand suspended till 15 April 2020. This will come into effect from 1200 GMT on 13 March at the port of departure.

Govt to Issue Ayushman Bharat e-Cards to Over 10 Cr Families

No registration or enrolment of entitled beneficiaries is required for availing the benefits under AB-PMJAY. However, in order to create awareness and facilitate easy availing of benefits, paper-based e-cards are being issued to the beneficiaries, after verifying their identity. The identification of beneficiaries is a continuous process and the responsibility of issuing AB-PMJAY e-cards lies with the states and UTs.

Current Status of Availability of Coronavirus Drugs in India

The committee, in its report, has mentioned that the present stock-inhand of the APIs may be sufficient for 2 to 3 months to manufacture formulations and also given certain recommendations. The committee further mentioned that there is no need to panic so far as drug security is concerned.
