India First. Reliance Jio and Airtel Tie up with Non-Chinese Majors to keep Huawei Away from 5G Trials

According to a media report, while Reliance Jio has tied up with South Korean telecom major Samsung, Bharti Airtel is finalising its agreements to tie up with European tech firms Nokia and Ericsson, for 5G trials. It is important to note here that this move has come in the background of the US banning Huawei and also threatening to impose sanctions on companies that sell or buy the technology.

The government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is moving fast to bring about a complete integration of the Jammu and Kashmir administration into the central loop, following the August 5 abrogation of Article 370 that gave special status to the state, but which had kept it far away from the development processes and citizen benefits that the rest of the country was getting.

A 3D Map of India Likely in 2 Years

Unlike the earlier maps which were prepared with the help of satellite images, these would be created with the help of drones flying at a height of 200-300 metres. “The previous maps were prepared with the help of satellite images taken from the height of a few hundred kilometres above the earth. Compared to that, the level of detailing in drone images is immense,” said DST director and project coordinator SK Sinha.
