An incarnation of Shiva, Virabhadra was created to destroy Daksha, the son of Brahma. According to legend, Daksha opposed the marriage of Shiva to his daughter Sati and cut her off from the family. The story varies depending on the Hindu tradition, but Sati eventually killed herself. In his grief, Shiva created Virabhadra to exact revenge.
The term comes from the Sanskrit trikona, meaning “three corners” or “triangle,” and asana, meaning “posture.” The term is often used synonymously with utthita trikonasana (extended triangle pose).

The article states: “India rates are declining at 3.8% per year, and applying this declining factor indefinitely would result in cervical cancer being eliminated without any requirement for intervention strategies.
