India–Denmark Joint Statement during State Visit of Prime Minister of Denmark to India (October 09, 2021)

The two Prime Ministers underlined the warm and friendly relations between India and Denmark based on shared principles and values of democracy, rule of law and respect for human rights. They agreed that India and Denmark are natural and close partners and agreed to enhance efforts for reforming and strengthening multilateralism and a rules-based international order, including freedom of navigation.

PM Modi to Visit Italy for G20 Later This Month

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Italy later this month for the annual G20 summit. The G20 Heads of State and Government Summit will be held in Rome on October 30 and 31. This will be 3rd foreign visit of PM Modi amid the Covid pandemic. He visited Bangladesh in March and the US in September. While it is unlikely that PM Modi would visit any other country during his Italy visit no call has yet been made by New Delhi.

With India’s Soft Loan, Nepal Gets New Strategic Transmission Line – Neighborhood First” policy

With the Indian soft loan, Nepal has constructed a 220 KV Double Circuit Koshi Corridor power transmission in eastern Nepal and handed over to Nepal Electricity Authority, a semi-autonomous body to oversee the power generation and distribution in Nepal. With the construction of the new strategic transmission line, Nepal can evacuate power up to 2000 mw, said officials, which will also ease power evacuation and distribution in eastern Nepal.

More than 51,000 Apprentices Hired in Skill India’s ‘National Apprenticeship Mela’ 2021

Under the initiative, nearly 51,991 apprentices were hired and the event witnessed participation from more than 5000+ organisations, operating in more than 30 sectors such as Power, Retail, Telecom, IT/ITeS, Electronics, Automotive and more. Additionally, country’s aspiring youth received the opportunity to engage and select prospects from more than 500 trades (Designated and Optional) including posts for Welder, Electrician, Housekeeper, Beautician, Mechanic and more.

PMBJP Stores Increase to 8308, Covering all Districts Across the Country

Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), the implementing agency of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) has completed the target of opening of 8,300 Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras (PMBJKs) for the FY 2021-22 before end of September, 2021. All the districts of the country have been covered under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP). Effective IT-enabled logistics and supply-chain systems for ensuring real-time distribution of medicines at all outlets have also been introduced.
