In the presence of WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi opened the Global AYUSH Investment and Innovation Summit in Gandhinagar on April 20, announcing that India will create a special AYUSH visa category for foreign nationals who want to visit the country to benefit from traditional medicine.
India is also going to create a unique AYUSH trademark. This seal of approval would be affixed to the best Ayush goods created in India.
14 startups have joined the unicorn club so far this year. Mr. Modi was convinced that unicorns will emerge from the AYUSH ecosystem in the near future.
‘AYUSH Kada’ and other similar items were used to help people strengthen their immunity during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Mr. Modi stated that it is critical that farmers who grow medicinal plants have the ability to quickly connect with the market. The government is working on modernising and expanding the AYUSH e-marketplace in this regard.
