The Rupsi Airport in Assam’s Dhubri district became operational after 38 years on Saturday with the landing of the inaugural Flybig flight at the airport from Guwahati Airport.

The installed solar power generation capacity added with projects under auction and installation in India has crossed 100GW, the Ministry of Power said on Thursday.

“Newly rehabilitated Small Hydro Power Plant at Chandannath Municipality in Jumla District, built with Government of India’s financial assistance of NRs 26.39 million, was virtually inaugurated by Karun Bansal, First Secretary (DP&R) of the Embassy of India, Kathmandu; District Coordination Committee, Jumla and Nepal Electricity Authority, Jumla,” the release from the Indian Embassy stated.

It is a proud moment for Indian Railways as 100th 12000 HP WAG 12 B has been inducted in Indian Railways fleet. The loco is named WAG 12 B with number 60100. The locomotive is manufactured by Madhepura Electric Locomotive Pvt. Ltd. (MELPL).

An awareness session on Oxygen related technologies was organised through digital platform by MSME – Development Institute, Jaipur in association with CSIR – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur on 04.05.2021. Alstom has manufactured and delivered the 100th electric locomotive to Indian Railways despite challenges posed by covid-19, the company said. The delivery is part of the contract worth €3.5 billion (Rs 25,000 crore), signed between the ministry of railways and Alstom in 2015 which led to the creation of a joint venture for the project and the largest foreign direct investment project of the Railways.

Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shri Nitin Gadkari said that the Government is giving utmost priority to the development of infrastructure and has set a target of road construction of worth Rs.15 lakh crores in next two years.

The government’s e-governance services arm CSC on Thursday announced a collaboration with Tata Power to set up solar-powered micro grids and water pumps in rural areas across the country.
