More than 15 Crore National Digital Health IDs Created Under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission

On the 15th of August 2020, the National Digital Health Mission (now known as Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission) was launched as a pilot in six Union Territories: Andaman and Nicobar, Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, and Puducherry. National Health authority is creating awareness about the advantages of this health ID.

Cargo Ship Sails from Patna to Pandu Heralding A New Age of Logistics for Assam

The vessel starts its sail on National Waterway-1 (river Ganga) through Bhagalpur, Manihari, Sahibganj, Farakka, Tribeni, Kolkata, Haldia, Hemnagar; Indo Bangladesh Protocol (IBP) route through Khulna, Narayanganj, Sirajganj, Chilmari and National Waterway-2 through Dhubri, and Jogighopa covering a distance of 2,350 km. The vessel will take about 25 days to cover the entire voyage and is expected to reach Pandu in Guwahati by early March.

Govt Proposes to Replace Existing SEZ Law With New Legislation

The administration proposed on Tuesday to repeal the existing law governing special economic zones (SEZs) and replace it with a new law that would allow states to collaborate on the “Development of Enterprise and Service Hubs.”  The current SEZ Act was passed in 2006 with the goal of establishing export hubs and increasing manufacturing in the country. However, with the enforcement of a minimal alternate tax and the adoption of a sunset clause for the removal of tax benefits, these zones began to lose their lustre.  In purposes of customs regulations, these zones are treated as foreign entities.
