Israel’s RADA Electronic Industries Ltd. a provider of advanced software-defined tactical radars for the maneuver force, and India’s Alpha Design Technologies Pvt. Ltd., (ADTL), a 1,200+ people-strong, professional R&D and production organization have executed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a joint venture to market, manufacture, sell and support RADA’s radars in India.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a public sector aircraft company, will be bidding to sell 18 LCA Mk1 A fighter aircrafts to the Royal Malaysian Air Force in the light of Malaysian authorities showing interest in the indigenous fighter planes, HAL chairman R Madhavan said Wednesday.
Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed an Advanced Chaff Technology to safeguard fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) against hostile radar threats. Defence Laboratory Jodhpur, a DRDO laboratory developed the advanced Chaff material and chaff cartridge-118/I in collaboration with High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL), a Pune based laboratory of DRDO, meeting qualitative requirements of IAF. The Indian Air Force has started the process of induction of this technology after completion of successful user trials.
The project was launched in the presence of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar here at the UN headquarters.
