India Issues RFI for the Procurement of Four LPD Amphibious Vessels

Regarding the specifications, the LPDs will feature a crew of 540 sailors with a capacity to embark 900 troops. Ships should be up to 200 meters-long, have a draft up to 8 meters full loaded and achieve a cruising speed of 14 to 16 knots. The range should reach 10,000 nautical miles at economical speed. The ships are to be provided with an Electric Propulsion (Integrated Full Electric Propulsion/ Hybrid Propulsion) System.

Indo-Kazakhstan Joint Training Exercise to Commence on 30 august 2021

 As part of military diplomacy and to strengthen the growing strategic relation with Kazakhstan, the 5th edition of Indo- Kazakhstan Joint Training Exercise, “KAZIND-21” will be conducted at Training Node, Aisha Bibi, Kazakhstan, from 30 August to 11 September 2021. The exercise is a joint training between both the Armies, which will boost the bilateral relations between India and Kazakhstan.

Uttar Pradesh to Start Manufacturing BrahMos Missiles Soon

First Batch of Multi-Mode Hand Grenades Handed Over to Indian Army in the Presence of Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh

Second Batch of Indian Specialists Undergo S-400 Missile Training as Delivery Nears

As India and Russia eye on the delivery of the S-400 Triumf Air Defence System, the training of the Indian specialists moves according to the plan on how to operate the S-400 system. Over 100 personnel of the Indian Army Force (IAF) were sent to Russia in the last week of January and in the recent development, the first group of Indian specialists has completed the training, while the second part of the training is underway.

Indian Army Promotes 5 Women Officers to Colonel Rank First Time Ever

This is the first time that women officers serving with the Corps of Signals, Corps of Electronic and Mechanical Engineers (EME) and the Corps of Engineers have been approved to the rank of Colonel. Previously, promotion to the rank of Colonel was only applicable for women officers in the Army Medical Corps (AMC), Judge Advocate General (JAG) and the Army Education Corps (AEC).
