The Government of India has developed several free e-Learning platforms for the learners across various branches. The aim of free e-Learning platforms is to keep the learning and the teaching system uninterrupted and ongoing. To overcome the prevailing COVID 19 crisis, the Government of India has taken several initiatives through the Ministry of Education and UGC. Not one but many free e-Learning platforms have been developed and launched by the Government of India in due course.

The Course was organised by the National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation and Training (NTIPRIT), the premier training institute of Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. This is a 36-hour (12 week) Course to train and certify Officers in Network Security and is the first of its kind. While the Course is presently for DoT Officers, it is proposed to be expanded to cover other Officers of the Government and gradually those in the Private Sector also..

In addition to that, the IIT Bombay has come up with a free online course on Android App Development on SWAYAM platform.

As many as 112,314 students, IT professionals and others participated in the ‘AI-For-India’ event conducted on April 24 and 25. The event organised by IIT-Madras incubated startup GUVI and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to upskill the participants in python programming language set the world Guinness record for ‘most number of users to take a programming lesson in 24 hours,’ surpassing the previous record by 50 times more participants

Almost a year after it launched “Introduction to Indian Heritage”, Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute (BORI) is coming back with the fourth edition of the course, scheduled to start on 19 April.
