Himachal’s ‘Vulture Restaurant’

The ‘vulture restaurant’ has gained quick popularity among the locals for working towards the conservation of several species of vultures. Established in Sukharna village by the wildlife wing of the forest department of the state, the restaurant sprawls over 10,000 sq m. It allows the local population to bring in dead animals and livestock as food for the vultures, anytime between 10am to 4pm.

No Passport for Corrupt Govt. Employees

It is required to check the vigilance clearance of such government servants for grant of passport, said the order issued by the Personnel Ministry to secretaries of all central government departments.
Accordingly, it has been decided that vigilance clearance can be withheld if an officer is under suspension or a chargesheet has been filed in a court by the investigating agency in a criminal case, it said.

Major Racket of Fake Invoicing of ₹.7896 Crore Busted Involving Network of 23 Shell Companies

The officers of Anti Evasion wing of Central Tax, Delhi West Commissionerate have busted a major racket of fake invoicing of Rs.7896 crore involving fraudulent Input Tax Credit (ITC) of Rs.1709 crore, using a network of 23 shell companies, which procured and generated invoices without actual supply of goods and availed as well as passed on ITC. Two persons have been arrested on 29.02.2020, in this matter.
