Ayush Minister Assure All Help in Establishing the World’s First Bio Bank of Ayurveda at AIIA

Union Ayush Minister Shri Sarbananda Sonowal and MoS for Ayush, Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai visited All India Institute of Ayurveda on Sunday and inaugurated Multi-Purpose Yoga Hall & Mini Auditorium. Both the Ministers highly appreciated the work done by AIIA and assured their full-fledged support for further development of the Institute to make it world’s best Ayurveda Institute. Lauding the futuristic plan of the Institute, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal assured all help for establishing the first Bio-Bank of the world in Ayurveda at AIIA.

India’s First Bio-Bank for Heart Failure Research Inaugurated at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology

The increase in the observed prevalence of long-COVID symptoms and post-COVID heart failure calls for long-COVID clinics to collect patient data and biospecimens that can be biobank for future research. Through the NHFB, researchers can get access to well-annotated biological specimens linked to clinical data while maintaining appropriate standards of quality and security. I sincerely hope that the NHFB will facilitate research both in India and abroad, helping clinicians and scientists to work together to understand and find solutions to heart failure-related morbidity and mortality. ” Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science & Technology (DST) pointed out in his message.

8,001 Janaushadhi Kendras Opened as on 02.08.2021 Covering All the Districts of the Country

The State Governments/UT Administrations have been requested from time to time to facilitate opening of Janaushadhi Kendras in the premises of Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs)/Community Health Centers (CHCs)/Hospitals, including super specialty hospitals, by providing rent-free space within their premises. As on 2.8. 2021, about 1,012 Kendras are functioning inside Government’s premises.
