Dr Harsh Vardhan Launches ‘Digital Ocean’ -the First of its Kind Digital Platform for Ocean Data Management

Addressing at the event, Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that Digital Ocean is a first of its kind digital platform for Ocean Data Management. “Digital Ocean is a big step towards Prime Minister’s vision of Digital India ie to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy”, Dr. Harsh Vardhan stated. He further added “In coming times, that nation will be powerful which has the gold mine of data and the capacity to process and interpret it meaningfully.”

PM to Inaugurate the New Bhaupur- New Khurja Section and the Operation Control Centre

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘New Bhaupur- New Khurja section’ of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) on 29th December, 2020 at 11 AM via video conferencing. During the event, Prime Minister will also inaugurate EDFC’s Operation Control Centre (OCC) at Prayagraj. Governor of Uttar Pradesh Shrimati Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Shri Piyush Goyal will also be present on the occasion.

‘FASTag Fee Collection Reaches INR 80 Crore per Day’: NHAI

Electronic toll collection through FASTags has crossed Rs 80 crore a day with record 50 lakh transactions per day and more than 2.20 crore FASTags issued so far, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said on Friday. Centre has made FASTags mandatory for all vehicles from January 1, 2021.

KVIC Brings Alive 1000-yrs Old Monpa Handmade Paper Industry in Tawang

Apart from handmade paper, Tawang is known for two other local crafts – handmade pottery and handmade furniture – that are also getting extinct with passage of time. KVIC Chairman announced that within six months plans will be rolled out for revival of these two local arts. “Revival of handmade pottery will be taken up on priority under Kumhar Sashaktikaran Yojana very soon,” Saxena said.
