Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday announced that Indian Railways have equipped nearly 60 passenger coaches with solar panel for meeting their light and fan power requirements. 10 non-air-conditioned coaches at Mathura to run in the Mathura-Alwar railway section, as well as 30 non-air-conditioned passenger coaches in the Lucknow-Varanasi railway section are to be equipped with solar power technology.
Koo, the Made in India social network platform, has seen a massive surge in the number of users in the last few weeks amid a spat between the Centre and Twitter. “We had two million users with about 1.5 million active users. West Bengal gets included in ONGC’s oil and gas map with its eighth field at Ashoknagar in West Bengal starting commercial production on Sunday. ONGC first extracted 20 kilolitres of crude oil from the Ashoknagar oilfields early November this year and had sent it to Indian Oil’s Haldia refinery for processing.
Indian Railways’ freight loading for the last few months have crossed last year’s loading and earnings for the same period. It is expected that cumulative freight loading will surpass last year’s freight loading figures.
