UPEIDA Signs MoU with Navy for Defence Corridor

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that after signing of the MOU, the Indian Navy will be able to find solutions to its problems through the Centre of Excellence being established at the Defence Corridor in the state. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also stressed on ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and has emphasised on innovation and domestic production,” said the CM.

Sri Thaawarchand Gehlot E-Inaugurates the New Building of National Institute of Social Defence

Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot e-inaugurated the new building of National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) Sector-10, Dwarka, New Delhi today. In his inaugural address, Shri Gehlot said that NISD is the nodal training and research institute in the field of social defence which focuses on human resource development for drug abuse prevention, welfare of senior citizens and transgenders, beggary prevention, and other social defence issues.

23 Expressways, New Highways Coming Up in Next 5 Years

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has set the timeline for 23 new highways, including a network of expressways and economic corridors, which will be ready by March 2025. Four expressways, including Delhi-Mumbai, Ahmedabad-Dholera and Amritsar-Jamnagar are scheduled for completion by March 2023. Nine more will be ready by March 2024.

BEL Inaugurates Upgraded ATDS Maareech Manufacturing Facility

Recently, the Raksha Mantri, Rajnath Singh inaugurated the upgraded, state-of-the-art Maareech Integration Facility through Video Conference. Gowtama M V, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Electronics (BEL), on the occasion gave a presentation to the Raksha Mantri on Advanced Torpedo Decoy System (ATDS) Maareech. This initiative by BEL is in accordance with the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, a self-reliant nation.

Joka-Esplanade to be India’s First Metro to Run on Indigenous Rails

Joka-Esplanade Metro will be India’s first Metro to run on indigenously manufactured rail. The first lot of the rails reached Joka depot on Monday. Hitherto, all the Metros in India have been running on imported rails as Indian steel companies did not produce these head hardened (HH) rails, which are used for high speed trains (>250 kmph), heavy traffic of varying axle loads for freights and Metro rail.

Government to Provide Mobile Connectivity in 498 Villages Which are Located in Strategic and Border Areas
