Plastic Waste Handling Facility Inaugurated at Naval Base, Kochi

The Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command (SNC) Vice Admiral Anil K Chawla, PVSM, AVSM, NM, VSM, ADC inaugurated a Plastic Waste Handling Facility at Naval Base Kochi on 29 Aug 20. He also released A BIRD BOOK titled “Kaleidoscope – Feathered Friends @ KatariBagh” on the occasion as part of environment friendly initiatives of SNC at Kochi.

With 76 New Routes, 766 Routes Sanctioned so Far Under the UDAN 4.0 Scheme

78 new routes under the 4th round of Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)- UdeDesh Ka AamNagrik (UDAN) have been approved following the three successful rounds of bidding by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. This will further enhance the connectivity to remote and regional areas of the country. The North Eastern Region, Hilly States and Islands have been given priority in the approval process for the new routes.

“Keran got electricity around Independence Day and now in the second phase electricity has reached Machil villages also.Soon, we would be providing electricity to remaining difficult areas too,” Principal Secretary (Power- J&K) Rohit Kansal told NDTV adding that their aim is to provide connectivity to all border areas by next year.
