“This is a historic step both for J&K and its people. The ministry informed that the 10KW transmitters are the highest altitude TV and Radio transmitters in the country, located at the height of 4,054 metres (about 13,300 ft) above the mean sea level. The range of the transmitter is over 50km in radius. And the transmitters at Leh are at an altitude of 3,501 metres (about 11,450 ft).

In addition, Indian Railways has offered 17% discount on haulage cost compared to double stack ISO container trains, resulting in an overall 33% discount to shippers making Indian Railways competitive. Thus the rail movement of cargo through Dwarf containers has the potential to lower the EXIM logistics costs, making Indian exports globally competitive

Valued at approximately INR 2051 crore (245 Mn EUR), Alstom’s scope on the Agra-Kanpur metro project includes – design, build and delivery of 201 metro cars (67 MOVIA metro three-car trainsets) and an advanced signalling solution (CITYFLO 650). The customer also has a provision to exercise an option for an additional 51 metro cars.
