Resolution Adopted for Sustainable Management of Reactive Nitrogen

The Berlin Declaration adopted at the end of the 8th triennial conference of the International Nitrogen Initiative (INI) held virtually between May 31-June 3, 2021, calls for “sustainable management of reactive nitrogen compounds across all sectors of human activity as a crucial step towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030”.

Refill Booking Portability for LPG consumers

Following the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of making energy accessible and affordable to all and with a view to further empower the LPG consumers, it has been decided to allow LPG customers to have a choice deciding which distributors they want their LPG refill from. Consumers will be able to choose their “Delivering Distributor” from the list of distributors catering to their address within their Oil Marketing Company (OMC).In the pilot phase, which will be launched shortly, this unique facility will be available in Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Pune, and Ranchi.

India, Japan See Assam As Hub to Link SE Asia: Jaishankar

Indian foreign minister S Jaishankar on Monday said it was essential for the future of Asia to build connectivity from the Arabian Sea to the South China Sea and added that this seamless connectivity would be possible only by making Indian state of Assam the “meeting point” of such efforts.

Proposals for Construction of Nearly 3.61 Lakh Houses Approved Under PMAY(Urban)

The Government approved 708 proposals for construction of 3.61 lakh houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) on 8th June 2021. The decision was taken at the 54th Meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) under PMAY-U held in New Delhi. The Meeting was attended by 13 States/UTs. These houses are proposed to be constructed across Beneficiary Led Construction and Affordable Housing in Partnership verticals.

Expanding Implementation of the Van Dhan Yojana in the Union Territory of Ladakh

In its series of State Level webinars that TRIFED conducted recently to review the progress of the implementation of the Van Dhan Yojana, one important outreach session was with the state teams and VDVKs of the Union Territory of Ladakh. The main focus of the session was to plan the operationalization of the sanctioned VDVKs and VDVKCs. Attendees from the UT (SIAs, SNAs, VDVKCs) were keyed up and geared to operationalize the currently sanctioned 10 VDVK cluster in the Union Territory with utmost urgency. NRLM is the implementing agency for the UT of Ladakh.
