Revenue Deficit Grant of INR. 9,871 Crore Released to 17 States

The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, has released the 4th monthly installment of Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant of Rs. 9,871.00 crore to the States yesterday. With the release of this installment, a total amount of Rs. 39,484.00 crore has been released to eligible States as Post Devolution Revenue Deficit Grant in the current financial year.

India – EU Cooperation in Agriculture

A Virtual meeting between Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Mr. Janusz Wojciechowski, Member of the European Commission, Agriculture was held on 7th July, 2021. The strong momentum of the India-EU relations especially since the last India-EU Summit in July, 2020 was acknowledged. Both dignitaries expressed their condolences for the loss of lives due to COVID-19 pandemic. Union Agriculture Minister thanked the EU & its Member States for coming forward in support of India in these critical times.

India and Singapore Held Meeting on the Subject of “Personnel Management and Public Administration”

India and Singapore held a bilateral meeting last evening through virtual mode under the aegis of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) entered into between Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Public Service Division (PSD), Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore on 01st June 2018 on the subject of “Personnel Management and Public Administration”.

India and Russia Agree to Have 2 Plus 2 Strategic Dialogue

The 2 plus 2 dialogue entails an annual meeting between the external affairs minister, Mr S. Jaishankar and the defence minister, Mr Rajnath Singh and their Russian counterparts, foreign minister Sergei Lavrov and defence minister Sergey Shoygu. India has agreed to the Russian offer, but where the first meeting will happen and when is yet to be decided. Much will depend on how acute the Covid situation is in the coming months.

Minister of Ayush Shri Kiren Rijiju Launches Five Important Portals on Ayush Sector

Monday proved to be a historic and momentous day for the Ayush sector as five portals of importance were launched and four publications were released by the Union Minister of Ayush (IC) Shri Kiran Rijiju in an online event. The Minister also reminded that Ayush is going to play a big role in the National Digital Health Mission to provide health security to Indian people.

Nepal India Revise Railway Service Agreement

According to the revised text of the Letter of Exchange, all authorised private container train operators (Indian as well as Nepali) will be able to utilise the Indian railway network to carry freight containers for Nepal’s imports or exports, ending the monopoly of the Indian government-owned Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), the report published in the Kathmandu Post daily said.
