Rajya Sabha Passes Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill

Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said the Constitution of India is now fully applicable on Jammu and Kashmir, and that the bill will enable the availability of officers in Jammu and Kashmir who have experience of running union territory administration. He said around 170 central laws are being implemented in Jammu and Kashmir.

Internet Services Restored in Jammu and Kashmir

The Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) administration announced Friday that high speed 4G mobile internet had been restored in the entire union territory of Jammu & Kashmir, exactly one and a half years after it was cut in August 2019 when the central government abrogated Article 370 of the Indian Constitution that provided the special status of the erstwhile state.

Four More States complete Ease of Doing Business Reforms

Four more States namely, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab have undertaken “Ease of Doing Business” reforms stipulated by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance. Thus, these State have become eligible to mobilise additional financial resources and have been granted permission to raise additional Rs.5,034 crore through Open Market Borrowings.

₹1,000-Crore Startup India Seed Fund from April 1

Start-ups and incubators can apply online for support under the ₹1,000-crore Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) which would become operational from April 1, according to Anil Agrawal, Joint Secretary at the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Commerce Ministry.
