Maldivian Defence Min Reaches Kochi, India

The defence minister of Maldives Mariya Ahmed Didi arrived in Kochi on a 6-day official visit to Kochi and Kannur. The defence minister, who reached the Cochin International Airport Limited (Cial) in an IndiGo flight around 11:30 am on Tuesday, was received by Rear Admiral TVN Prasanna, chief staff officer (training), Southern Naval Command (SNC) and his wife. The visit is part of improving the bilateral defence ties between Maldives and India.

37th Edition of India – Indonesia Coordinated Patrol

 Indian Naval Ship (INS) Khanjar, an indigenously built Missile Corvette along with Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft is undertaking coordinated patrol (CORPAT) with Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin, (376), a Kapitan Patimura-Class Corvette, from 23 to 24 Nov 21. The 37th edition of CORPAT between India and Indonesia will also witness participation of Maritime Patrol Aircraft from both Nations. The exercise, is being conducted as a ‘non-contact, “at sea only” exercise in view of COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the mutual trust, synergy and cooperation between the two friendly Navies.

Triveni Signs A Business Agreement with GEAE Technology USA in its Defence Business

Under the agreement, GEAE Technology USA has licensed Triveni to locally manufacture the LM2500 gas turbine’s base frame, acoustic enclosure, and lubricating oil skid and supply other source-controlled accessories that go into the LM 2500 gas turbine enclosure assembly. The LM2500 is the chosen propulsion gas turbine by the Indian Navy for many of its surface combatant vessels. The LM2500 gas turbine, with power ranging from 25 MW to 35 MW, are best in class naval propulsion gas turbines and are in service with over 40 navies globally.
