Beijing’s Support to Terror State Sends Wrong Message to Indian Buyers of Chinese Products: India to China

In an indirect reference to Pakistan, the visiting Indian delegation told their Chinese counterparts that their support to terror states “is sending a wrong message to the Indian consumers who are still interested in consuming Chinese products”.

New Delhi: An 11-member Indian delegation has sent a strong message to China regarding Beijing’s support to countries where “terrorism is being funded and harboured”.

In an indirect reference to Pakistan, the visiting Indian delegation told their Chinese counterparts that their support to terror states “is sending a wrong message to the Indian consumers who are still interested in consuming Chinese products”.

The Bharatiya Janata Party delegation held talks with the Communist Party of China members in the last week of August.

It is being reported that the Communist Party of China was interested in knowing about the BJP’s membership drive, which made it the largest party in the world.

The CPC also took notes of BJP’s programs, activities and party structure.

The CPC had invited the 11-member BJP team to visit China between August 26 and September 01. The Indian delegation was headed by Arun Singh, the national general secretary of BJP.

In another development, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had yesterday rejected the reference to Jammu and Kashmir in the joint statement by Pakistan and China issued after Chinese Foreign Minister and State Councillor Wang Yi’s recent two-day visit to Islamabad.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar, while responding to a query on the reference to Jammu and Kashmir in the joint statement, said: “We reject the reference to Jammu and Kashmir in the joint statement issued by China and Pakistan after the recent visit of the Chinese Foreign Minister. Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.”

India, on Tuesday, tore into Pakistan at the UN Human Rights Council for mentioning the Jammu and Kashmir issue.

“Pakistan has today pretended to speak as the voice of the global community on human rights. But the world cannot be fooled. Pakistan’s gory record speaks for itself,” said Vimarsh Aryan, the First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of India to UNHRC.

“I have been forced to take the floor to call out the blatant misrepresentation of facts and false narrative peddled by Pakistan in all its statements today. This is an ill-disguised effort to advance its territorial ambitions. We reject this propaganda,” the senior Indian diplomat added.

“We are not surprised at Pakistan’s hysterical statements with false, fabricated narratives aimed to politicize and polarise this forum. Pakistan realises that our recent decision cuts the very ground from under its feet by creating obstacles in its continuing sponsorship of cross-border terrorism against India,” Aryan further said.
