Mr. Mahendra Nerurkar, CEO of Amazon Pay, said in a statement, “We are continuously innovating and developing new experiences to make digital payments seamless across a number of use cases as part of our dedication to our customers. Most of the customers prefer to pay via cash for their LPG cylinder. Our collaboration with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited would simplify the reservation and payment experience for cooking gas and help millions of consumers.”

By asking Alexa, users can also book and pay for their HP Gas cylinders. “To their Alexa-enabled devices such as Amazon Echo, Fire TV Stick or any Alexa Built-in third-party speaker, they can say:” Alexa, book my HP Gas cylinder. For current Amazon Pay customers, Alexa would retrieve the amount against the registered HP Gas mobile number / LPG ID linked to the Amazon account and request customer confirmation before processing the payment.

For zero-touch booking and end-to – end payment of LPG cylinders, HP Gas customers would also be able to use the simplicity of speech. Amazon Pay customers can now complete their purchase in less than 30 seconds with zero-clicks and only three voice commands to Alexa, from a few clicks on touch interfaces to placing an order.

When they book and pay via Amazon Pay, clients can also get up to Rs. 50 (US$ 0.67) cashback. In addition, they can simply repeat the transaction without re-entering the data every month.
